Main Performer

As the Mystic Revealers' second CD, Space and Time features more up tempo tunes and more big names than their debut, Jah Works, but this doesn't necessarily make for a better album. Despite the presence of the legendary Sly and Robbie and even conscious DJ Luciano on backing vocals, this album fails to make a strong impression. Save for the hauntingly beautiful melody of Righteous and the rolling groove of I and I, nothing stands out on Space and Time. Indeed, a few tunes such as I Believe In Love and January To December even display a slightly pop-flavored sound. This is not a bad album, the musicianship is solid and the lyrics are mostly enlightening, it just doesn't live up to the high expectations that the Mystic Revealers created with their debut. ~ Rosalind Cummings-Yeates, Rovi
