Marvin Gaye was a subtle, graceful singer with an innate and intimate sense of phrasing, and few singers in his era could handle a love song the way he could. This set has a nice mix of Gaye classics, but unfortunately the versions presented here are poorly recorded live ones from late-era tours he did in the 1980s.
