Only Rock 'N Roll 1985-1989: #1 Radio Hits is an excellent budget-priced collection, featuring 20 tracks -- including hits like the Bangles' "Walk Like an Egyptian," and Mr. Mister's "Broken Wings," Dream Academy's "Life in a Northern Town," Foreigner's "I Want to Know What Love Is," Club Nouveau's "Lean on Me," David Lee Roth's "California Girls," ABC's "When Smokey Sings," and Los Lobos's "La Bamba" -- from the late '80s. It's not necessarily a comprehensive collection, but if you want a sampler from this era -- and if you need a good quality version of one or more of the hits on this disc -- this is a very entertaining listen and a terrific bargain. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, Rovi
