For those who can't get enough of DJs Sasha + John Digweed's refreshing, instantly recognizable sound, your appetites will be satisfied with Northern Exposure, Vol. 2: West Coast Edition (with a completely different track listing than the East Coast Edition). And like the previous East Coast Edition, the album sounds best when listened to from beginning to end, as one big block of music. Sasha + John Digweed invite the listener on a journey that's pretty close to musical space travel on the William Orbit and Spooky remix of Sven V?th's "An Accident in Paradise." And the album's opener, Cygnus' "Superstring," starts with a tranquil organ phrase until infectious dance beats take the song in a completely unexpected direction. Like its predecessors, Northern Exposure, Vol. 2: West Coast Edition is a long album (over 70 minutes), but the quality of the music never seems to subside. If you're a dance music fan, but want a break from the genre's usual in-your-face sounds, Sasha + John Digweed's selections will prove to be a soothing antidote. ~ Greg Prato, Rovi
