- Craig T. Cooper
Main Performer
Jonathan Widran
The trend towards R&B with pop/jazz trappings continues with this streamlined urban/funk effort by Cooper, whose silky stringwork and sense of improvisation is strictly from the George Benson school of fancy licks. He infuses his soulful guitar energy with romance, passion, and some genuine excitement, while his production skills keep the hip-hop tempos smooth and perky. There are a few vocals, the best of which is "I Dedicate My Love," which is all Quiet Storm sensuousness, and guest soloists Eddie Miller (piano) and George Duke (synths) add some spice to the breezes of Cooper's playing. ~ Jonathan Widran, Rovi
