Those who prefer a martini to a glass of egg nog should appreciate Christmas With the Rat Pack. Featuring various Christmas and holiday classics performed by Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr., and Dean Martin, this is a stellar collection that sets an elegantly hip mood. The big surprise is that while the Rat Pack is commonly associated with '60s nightclub irreverance, the tracks compiled here showcase their softer, more reflective sides. Sinatra does his best choirboy take on "The Christmas Waltz" and Martin veritably melts into "Baby, It's Cold Outside." One complaint: A few more Davis cuts could have been included.
