Essentially Pure Moods for the aging Underworld market, Chilled Spirit lacked obscurity or credibility but made up for it with a consistently lush mixture of old favorites. The Beloved's tender, dour "The Sun Rising," Energy 52's trance-sharpening "Caf? del Mar," the Orb's sky-breaking "Little Fluffy Clouds," and Moby's "Porcelain," which has aged well, were all present, but so were Orbital's and Groove Armada's finest moments; selections by the Art of Noise, Robert Miles, and Julee Cruise; and even All Saints' "Pure Shores," which just may be the best girl pop song in a decade. ~ Dean Carlson, Rovi
