Steve Huey

The second installment in the series, Celtic Colours International Festival: The Second Wave collects 16 performances from the 1998 festival on Cape Breton, which features some of the world's best Celtic artists as well as many of the island's top musicians. Included are Altan, Rita MacNeil with the Chieftains, Alasdair Fraser with Tony MacManus, the Barra MacNeils, John Allan Cameron with Ashley MacIsaac, Sharon Shannon with Natalie MacMaster, and Buddy MacMaster with Tracey Dares, plus many others. Naturally, some artists bring more of a spark to their performances than others, but overall, the collection is a strong listen. ~ Steve Huey, Rovi
