1940's Christmas is a nice set of tried and true performances of classic Christmas songs featuring Benny Goodman & His Orchestra, Lena Horne, Bing Crosby, and others. Rod McKuen expertly collected the set, which includes one of his own performances with Petula Clark, and added a few obscure numbers such as "Button Up Your Overcoat" and "Santa Claus Came in the Spring" alongside the more traditional tunes, which makes this set really wonderful for a swingin' Christmas celebration. ~ Gregory McIntosh, Rovi
