Synopsis: Nintendo 3DS gamers find refined 3D fighting, and a feature-length movie to boot, in Tekken 3D Prime. The game boasts a stereoscopic 3D display at 60 frames per second, to bring the series' fast-paced fighting style to life on the small screen, with never-before-seen depth. The roster of more than 40 fighters includes all the characters that appeared in the series' most recent console offering, Tekken 6. Multiplayer bouts can be fought over a Wi-Fi connection. In addition to the game, the cartridge also contains the computer-animated film, Tekken: Blood Vengeance, in full 3D. Game modes include a version of the series' Tag Challenge, in a campaign of more than two-dozen missions, as well as more straightforward match types. As they find victory in the various modes, players obtain virtual Tekken Cards, which can be traded through StreetPass. Over 700 cards are available in the game, and may be collected to unlock items and features. Set in the time between Tekken 5 and Tekken 6, the movie Blood Vengeance continues the epic of the feuding Mishima clan, following the stories of Ling Xiaoyu and Alisa Bosconovitch, whose budding friendship is caught in the cross-faction rivalry. ~ T.J.
