Synopsis: The second expansion for Civilization IV, Sid Meier's Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword takes place in the era just after the invention of gunpowder. Featuring 12 new scenarios created with help from members of the Civ Fan Community, gamers must select from a variety of civilizations including newcomers Portugal, Babylon, and the Netherlands, and then begin building a society filled with citizens, world wonders, ports, education, religion, and politics. Players now have a chance to construct such engineering feats as Cristo Redentor, Shwedagon Paya, and the Moai statues.
