PokéPark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure
Publisher: Nintendo of America, Inc.
Developer: Creatures Inc.
Style(s): Multi-Genre Action
Synopsis: Players take the role of the most famous pocket monster of all in Pok?Park Wii, a puzzle-adventure game based on Nintendo's famous creature-collecting franchise. Instead of revolving around monster-capturing battles, as do many Pok?mon games, role-playing exploration is the focus of Pikachu's Adventure. The game is set in a place called the Pok?Park, an amusement park that caters to Pok?mon and their elemental abilities. The Pok?Park was once protected by the Sky Prism, but this device has been shattered, and its pieces scattered throughout the game world. The park is separated into zones, such as "Iceberg," "Lava," and "Haunted," each with a selection of mini-game attractions that fit its theme. Many of the mini-games use motion-sensitive controls, calling on players to tilt or shake the Wii Remote in order to move their characters. The ultimate goal of the adventure is to collect all the missing pieces of the Sky Prism, which are hidden throughout the Pok?Park, some guarded by tricky mini-game challenges and intimidating rivals. Pikachu is not alone in his great task however, as he will meet other friendly Pok?mon in his travels, who may be encouraged to use their special talents to help him. Characters befriended by Pikachu in the story mode are unlocked for play in other modes. ~ T.J. Deci, All Game Guide
