Synopsis: As in the cartoon series on which it's based, Marvel Super Hero Squad: The Infinity Gauntlet features kid-friendly versions of Marvel's most iconic costume-clad heroes, with clear-cut roles of good versus evil. Players can take the roles of Iron Man, Hulk, Wolverine, and several other popular Marvel heroes. The game is played from an outlying, third-person perspective that allows players to see the entire action-packed 3D scenes. Following the animated show's second season, the main "Story Mode" adventure has the heroes hunting down the six Infinity Stones, objects of great power that are also sought by the villainous Dr. Doom, as well as by the extraterrestrial tyrant, Thanos. Following the storyline, players must master the powers of each hero they control in turn, as the squad strives through 19 missions to prevent the supernatural gems from falling into the wrong hands. Individual heroes have different super-abilities, and these various powers are best suited for different challenges met along the way, so that each character plays an important part in successfully completing the overall adventure. In "Challenge" mode, up to four players battle together in missions, controlling their choice of the game's 30 available heroes and villain characters. In "Freeplay" mode, gamers can replay missions and save their progress using their choice of characters. New costumes and abilities can be unlocked for play by collecting hidden items and beating in-game challenges. ~ T.J. Deci, All Game Guide
