Synopsis: The jumping plumber and his pals bring their powered-up style of sports to Wii in Mario Sports Mix, a collection of motion-controlled games based on field hockey and ice hockey, basketball, volleyball, and dodgeball. Rules generally follow those of the real-life sports, but arcade action and character's super-abilities make for fast-paced, unpredictable play. The game was developed by Japan's premiere third-party game producer, Square-Enix, and so familiar Mushroom Kingdom characters are joined by Final Fantasy favorites such as mages and Moogles, as well as Slimes from the Dragon Quest games. Players can also use their own Mii characters in the game. Depending on the sport, multiplayer options for two, three, or four players are available, and four-player online completion is supported for Internet-connected teams of two. ~ T.J.
