Synopsis: Sony's acclaimed MLB series returns to PS3 with several new additions designed to enhance the experience for baseball fans. "The Road to the Show" career-style progression system now lets you decide how much of the game you want to watch as you guide your created athlete from AA to Spring Training to the big leagues. You can also call games from behind the plate as catcher, deciding which pitches should be thrown and where to position yourself to reduce the likelihood of passed balls. Those embarking on a complete 162-game season will be able to participate in the All-Star Futures Game as well as the Home Run Derby, with the latter making a return to the series as a separate play mode. Online play has been retooled to allow for smoother connections and new season leagues complete with stat tracking, trades, and 40-man rosters.
