Synopsis: Racing fans can hit the Brickyard and other famous courses during the heyday of Indy racing in Indianapolis 500 Evolution. Taking place from 1961 to 1971, Indy 500 Evolution offers games more than 360 era-authentic cars capable of taking players to speeds in excess of 170 miles per hour, while a full damage model means that reckless driving may result in broken engine covers, wheels, exhausts, and other important parts. The "Career" mode features simulation-style racing that takes into account dozens of variables, from fuel load to tire wear, and those who like to tinker can custom build their own open-wheel monster from the same parts used by legends like Al Unser and A.J. Foyt. Every race includes a full 33-car field, and each competitor has a respect meter that fluctuates depending on how aggressively players drive.
