Synopsis: Players find a rainbow array of adventure-puzzle challenges, in the cross-console follow-up to Blue Tongue Entertainment's paint-by-numbers platform game, De Blob. As in the original, De Blob 2 players control the rolling, globular protagonist as he navigates a 3D cityscape and brings color back to its streets and buildings. To overcome especially tricky situations, the amorphous hero is now joined by a robot sidekick called Pinky, who can help solve platform puzzles and blast away at bad guys. To capture a landmark and win back control of a neighborhood in the sequel, de Blob must enter the building, where he faces a new style of side-scrolling 2D platform puzzles. As he gradually returns the color to Prisma City, de Blob earns experience points that allow him to purchase upgrades and special abilities. He'll also find power-ups hidden throughout the game's levels, such as the "Hazmat Suit," which protects him from flames, or the "Re-Gen," which continuously restores paint points. The story is set a couple of years after the end of the first game, as Prisma City's election day is approaching. A mysterious stranger called Papa Blanc has come to town, and he's running for mayor. Actually the villainous Comrade Black in disguise, Papa Blanc rigs the vote and takes over the city, turning it into a drab, pollution-filled wasteland. ~ T.J. Deci, All Game Guide
