Synopsis: This remake of the 2001 Dreamcast game Bangai-O features the same sort of fast-paced side-scrolling gameplay and "fireworks-style missile attacks" as the original, only formatted and updated for the DS. Players can blast swarms of enemies through more than 160 furiously paced levels, on join up to three friends for wireless co-op and competitive battles. Bangai-O Spirits also features a level editor that lets players alter any existing level, or create new levels from scratch and then swap them with friends. The level editor uses the unique Sound Load feature, which converts saved levels into audio tracks that can be played through one speaker and then converted back into levels by the DS microphone. ~ Christopher Brown, All Game Guide
