Synopsis: Aliens: Infestation is a run-and-gun platform shooter that pits a team of deep-space marines against vicious Xenomorph enemies, across a variety of deadly locations inspired by the film series. Players control Colonial Marine characters that blast and dash through side-scrolling levels, wielding fan-familiar weapons such as the flamethrower, pulse rifle, and "smart gun." Although the action often erupts with fast-paced firefights, the game's dark, twisted environments provoke tense exploration and chaotic ambushes. Throughout the adventure, players have the opportunity to recruit a team of as many as 20 Colonial Marine characters, and they may choose which to use on each mission. Some levels have the player racing to rescue captured marines, in real time, before they are implanted with alien offspring. Designed by comic book artist Chris Bachalo, each custom-upgradable recruit has a distinct personality, and different dialog develops depending on the characters chosen for each mission.
