Synopsis:
Jena felt about Chloro Sapiens like other people feel about fairies, Mother Theresa or the good witch of the North. They were sacred to her and certainly had achieved a higher level of consciousness. There was so much to learn from these humans–or hybrid humans. Yet there were some who thought they were no more than useless vegetation, like her fiancee, Preston. Now they were threatened and the main perpetrator was the man she was about to marry. What could she do? She was a scientist yes, but a warrior, no. Or was she?
This is a story of courage–the courage to risk all you know and love to protect what you believe in, to protect the new race of man. Would the new man return the favor, or were people right, and they had morphed into pure vegetation? The risk was great, the danger eminent but it was a choice Jena was going to have to make and possibly risk it all for her cherished childhood beliefs.
Having won first place in a national contest from the National Writer's Association, this Sci Fi Novella is an outstanding story as we have come to expect from this author.
