Wireless Associate

Hastings Wireless Associates are responsible for greeting all customers in a professional, friendly, and timely manner, including answering phones and directing customer inquiries to appropriate departments, offering advice on wireless purchase decisions and assist new and existing customers in the selection and purchase of products and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate product and service information, feature functionality, billing procedures and equipment usage to each customer
  • Proactively follow-up with customer after the sale to guarantee product and customer satisfaction
  • Respond to customer inquiries and process customer requests in a timely manner
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues for customers and process repairs as needed
  • Achieve or surpass individual sales targets and/or goods
  • Participate in marketing efforts to solicit new business, including but not limited to community involvement, outreach programs, and promoting the brand inside and outside the store/retail location
  • Responsible for opening, closing and operating the retail facility, including but not limited to cash handling and deposits as governed by operations control standards
  • Complete accurate paperwork and transactions according to company policies and procedures
  • Follow company document retention guidelines to ensure consumer privacy policies
  • Receive and process all payments according to standard procedures
  • Attend all required training programs and meetings
  • Assist in other tasks, duties, or projects as assigned by management
  • Meet the standards outlined in the Minimum Expectation policy

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1 year customer service experience preferred
  • 1 year retail sales experience preferred
  • 1 year cellular industry experience preferred
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills required
  • Must be flexible to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required

As a member of the Store Operations Team, Hastings Store Managers are responsible for managing the store by supervising and executing corporate plans and actions as well as creating a positive team atmosphere, and increasing sales by recognizing and understanding the needs and habits of customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control sales, staffing and turnover levels within the store
  • Provide training, coaching, and professional development of personnel
  • Oversee store personnel and ensure that all corporate policies and procedures are followed
  • Ensure associates keep stores clean, well organized, and properly merchandised

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management or a related field or two years retail managment experience
  • Experience in a specialty chain, discount, department, or other mass merchandising store
  • Proven track record of sales, growth, and results
  • Strong leadership, training, organizational, and time management skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills with strong problem-solving abilities

Assistant Manager

Hastings Assistant Managers are responsible for assisting with the management of the store by supervising and executing corporate plans and actions, creating a positive team atmosphere, and understanding the needs and habits of customers. We are seeking an individual that is action oriented, approachable, and has a customer focus. The Assitant Manager is considered to be an on the job training postion for the Store Manager postion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Sales to Plan for store
  • Support the Store Manager with day-to-day store operations to achieve targeted productivity, sales, and profitability goals
  • Assist the Store Manager in providing overall direction for the staff in terms of training and performace tracking
  • Maintain awareness of competitors and their promotions and offerings

Customer Service Manager

Hastings Customer Service Managers are responsible for the supervision and management of the front counter team leaders and associates working in the front counter area while maintaining a positive team atmosphere. Additionally, they are accountable for training associates and front counter team leaders to company guidelines; and maintaining the consistent execution of key personnel responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops, maintains and supervises front counter customer service associates.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction, thereby increasing sales.
  • Responsible for effective execution of line management and efficient front counter operations.
  • Ensures efficient and productive use of labor.
  • Communicates associate evaluation deadlines to the responsible supervisors in a clear and timely manner.
  • Ensures accurate completion of cash reporting.
  • Increases rental video productivity by ensuring CSM’s manage correct drop box procedures and shelve videos in a timely manner.
  • Ensures a safe, clean and secure work environment.
  • Ensures accurate completion of training materials.
  • Delegates actions rom SWAS tours with the Manager to CSM’s/CSA’s to complete.
  • Responsible for postng “opportunity knocks” in common area visible to all associates.
