Over the past 14 years, Tom Clancy has explored the military and
security issues of our time in 10 best-selling novels. He has repeatedly demonstrated an
uncanny understanding of the mind, motivation, and mentality of those who serve in and
lead our armed forces. General Chuck Horner has spent most of his life as one of those
leaders. Horner, now retired, was commander of U.S. and allied air forces during Desert
Shield and Desert Storm.
"Broadcasting this event with broadcast.com will allow us to
promote our multimedia Web site through the use of video streaming and the Internet,"
said John H. Marmaduke, president and chief executive officer. "This is our first
broadcasting of live in-store events with major authors and celebrities, music video
promotions, and live concerts. This advanced technology will allow us to expand our
relationship with our customers, connecting them with their favorite authors and
performers in real time!"
